Preparation Day: 102

Write this down for the next generation
so people not yet born will praise God:

“God looked out from his high holy place;
from heaven he surveyed the earth.
He listened to the groans of the doomed,
he opened the doors of their death cells.”

Write it so the story can be told in Zion,
so God’s praise will be sung in Jerusalem’s streets
And wherever people gather together
along with their rulers to worship him.

(from Psalm 102, The Message)

(About Preparation Day)

::

Linking with Deidra because Jumping Tandem
is the only place I know that can have a disco ball
and be a quiet place. At the same time.

::

Photo: It was 4 degrees below zero
the other day. But well worth the
roadside stop and crawling in the
ditch for  closer look.

  2. so people not yet born will praise God.

    Who is, among other things, the God of spaces that admit both disco balls and quiet. Simultaneously.

    Too much goodness here, Lyla. I prepare.

  5. I’m so glad someone listened and wrote it – so we can know, and believe, and be free.

    (Crawling in the ditch? Sounds like you’ve been getting down too, Lyla!)

  6. Oh, so cool—-or should I say cold? God gave me Ps. 102:1-2 too. Of all of His Word, He put us on the same page. I love that!

  11. Lyla…

    So cold, but it’s the barn that takes my breath away. I am glad you stopped.
    And, oh, that he heard my groanings and opened the door of my death cell…or I would have been this barn.

  12. Four below? Can’t even imagine what that’s like! But I’m glad you took the risk. The photo is breathtaking.

    Don’t you just love The Message?

  13. I love what you wrote about Deidra! And I’m stunned by your dedication. That photo looks like it could have been taken 100 years ago.

  14. What an incredible photograph – it looks so old, like a snapshot from the Dust Bowl era. It captures the verses so well, Lyla.
