Preparation Day: 116

About Preparation Day

What can I give back to God
for the blessings he’s poured out on me?
I’ll lift high the cup of salvation—a toast to God!
I’ll pray in the name of God;
I’ll complete what I promised God I’d do,
and I’ll do it together with his people.
When they arrive at the gates of death,
God welcomes those who love him.

(from Psalm 116, The Message)

  2. Yesterday I attended a memorial service. This verse about arriving at the gates of death, and that amazing image…..just what my soul needs this morning.

    Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

  5. When my mom took her last breath, her whole body shuddered. Spirit separating from body? This photo made me think of that. Chills.
